Standard: Original hem is cut, folded and sewn to new length with a single line of stitching on the inside and outside of each leg. We use the closest matching thread from our stock, though an exact colour match isn't always possible.

Hidden/Blind Hem: We shorten your pants with a hidden or "blind" hem, where the stitching is nearly invisible from the outside. This service is for garments that already have a hidden/blind hem and you want to retain that finish.

Cuffed: We shorten pants while retaining the existing cuff finish. This covers all cuff types: rolled, ribbed, elastic or turned up cuff. This service is only available when the existing cuff is not damaged or worn and can be re-used.

Drawstring: We shorten pants with drawstring waistbands by carefully removing and reattaching the drawstring after shortening.

Side Slits/Wavy/Curved: We shorten pants with side slits or curved/wavy hems, working to maintain the original hem shape where possible.

Other hem detail: If your pants don't fit the categories above, select this option. We'll review on receipt and may need to adjust the price depending on complexity.

Best for (materials we can do)
Cotton, cotton-polyester blends, linen and linen blends, polyester with low stretch, 7 percent elastane or less.  

Not suitable
• Materials: Activewear and other high-stretch fabrics such as leggings, anything with more than 7 percent elastane, silk, bridal wear, pants with lining, delicate or slippery synthetics such as satin or rayon.  
• Features at the hem: Splits, zippers.
